Giancarlo Fassina was born in Milan where he obtained a degree in architecture at Politecnico. He worked and had experiences in different product industrial sectors, to devote himself then definitely to projecting lamps and planning and furnishing exhibitions and museums. He cooperated with the most important companies of the lighting sector, Luceplan included, for which he projected the lamp Birzì together with Carlo Forcolini.
